Place of Origin
Canarium is a genus of about 75 species of tropical trees in the family Burseraceae. It is native to Eastern Indonesia, papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

Actual Distribution
It is widespread in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Has been introduced into Fiji and into Queensland, Australia.

Places and Types of Utilization
Nuts, timber and traditional medicine. Main agroforestry uses as windbreak, homegarden and mixed woodlot.
