Summary The Breadfruit Institute’s Mission is to promote the study and use of breadfruit for food and reforestation. A major goal is to distribute varieties from the collection to tropical countries throughout the globe, thereby contributing to sustainable agriculture, food security, and crop diversity. It will continue to take a leading role in conservation of breadfruit diversity and ethnobotanical research documenting traditional uses and cultural practices involving breadfruit.
